| Gary Fincke was born in Pittsburgh in 1947. During his career, he has been the recipient of a PEN Syndicated Fiction Prize, Poetry Magazine's Bess Hoskin Prize for Poetry, and two Pushcart Prizes, for his essay "The Canals of Mars"and the poem "The Era of the Vari-Hue", respectively. Other awards include the Rose Lefcowitz Prize for Poet Lore. |
